*CALL TO WORSHIP Rachel Biddinger
& David Rapids
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me…”
We come, each
of us a child of God.
Jesus said, “Do not stop them”.
We come to
remove obstacles before children.
Jesus said, “It is to such as these that the reign of God belongs”.
We come to
recognize that each child is already part of God’s realm.
Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the Reign of God
as a little child will never enter it”.
We come to
worship with the trust and vulnerability
and dependence of a child!
Come, let us worship God!

Loving
God, you have blessed us with children and called us to be a blessing. In Christ
who came to bring good news to the poor and welcomed children, you have shown
us your intention for justice and compassion. Strengthen us to do your work in
this world. May we faithfully serve you through the work of our hands that your
children will be lifted up for generations yet to come. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.

Prayer/Pastoral Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art
in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,
and
forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory forever.
Amen.

WEEKLY PRAYER REQUESTS BOARD IN NARTHEX Each week
during worship we offer our joys and concerns. There are many times when the
prayers differ from one service to the next. We now have a bulletin board in
the narthex where everyone is invited to post prayer requests each week. Note
cards have been provided. This will help us keep each other informed of joys
and concerns as needed. Each week the prayer cards will be removed on
Saturday. Please take time to read the
requests and keep one another in your prayers for the coming week.
