*CALL TO WORSHIP

       Jesus fed the five thousand!

Showing us Jesus' willingness, and ability, to satisfy man's hunger.

The hunger we experience in our souls is also satisfied by our Lord.
Jesus' disciples helped him feed the crowd.

He needs his church today to help satisfy our world's deepest hunger.
We give ourselves to our Lord to share in his ministry to our world.

Heavenly Father, whose Son is unlimited in his ability to satisfy our needs: Give us receptive hearts to his ministry on our behalf; and use us in his ministry to serve others who hunger for his Word. Thus may our world know the satisfaction of feeding on our Savior's love. In his name we pray. Amen.

PASTORAL CARE NEEDS

Rev. Judy will be away on vacation beginning August 1st. If you have a Pastoral Emergency please contact Sue Bergmann at the church 410-795-6136 or at her home

410-635-3288. Sue is one of our Stephen Ministry Leaders and she will coordinate pastoral care needs with our Stephen Ministry Team and with Ordained Pastors in the community who will be covering until Rev. Judy returns.

SUMMER WORSHIP NOTES

A special thank you to Rev. Dave Highfield, Chris Gillis, Steve Bergmann and

Ken Middleton; for sharing their gifts of preaching and worship leadership while Rev. Judy is on vacation.

A MESSAGE FROM THE TRUSTEES

It would be very helpful if everyone could lend a hand and make sure everything is turned off and the doors are properly closed and locked behind you when you leave the

church building. Please do not assume others will take care of it.

Also, please take a moment to double check and turn off lights in rooms, hallways and restrooms. Shut off fans, air conditioners, and the sound system in the sanctuary after they have been used. Since many children use the restrooms on their own, please double check that water is not left running before you leave the building.

These are just a few simple requests that can save the church extra expenses and keep our building safe. Thank you!

BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING will meet on August 3rd at 7:00 PM.

SHEPHERD STAFF

We are collecting school supplies for Shepherd Staff. All school supplies are needed and also monetary donations are accepted for Shepherd Staff to purchase new shoes for the children. They also welcome gently used or new clothing to give out and new or used children’s books. Thank you for helping these children in need.
